The Correct First Step on Containing Iran

U.S. Sanctions 30 Firms, Individuals for Aiding Iran, North Korea Arms Programs

The United States has imposed sanctions on 30 foreign companies or individuals for transferring sensitive technology to Iran for its missile program or for violating export controls on Iran, North Korea and Syria, the State Department said on Friday.

Eleven companies or individuals from China, North Korea or the United Arab Emirates were sanctioned for technology transfers that could boost Tehran's ballistic missile program, the State Department said in a statement.

Opposition To Terror Designation For Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps Is "Fake News"

Much has been discussed about “fake news” appearing everywhere, from newspapers to blogs to social media to even Wikipedia listings that have been altered.
The wave of fake news stems largely from the ability in today’s hyper-connected, social media world to distribute information as fast as fingers can swipe a touchscreen. It also means it has become harder for ordinary people to discern what is legitimate and accurate news versus what is hyperbole or hysteria.
One example of how fake news is being pumped out is the case of the Iran lobby and its opposition to the possible designation of the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guard Corps as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” by the Trump administration.
On the surface, many people may already think that the IRGC is already designated a terrorist supporter - and they would be correct, but only to a point. Past administrations have designated individuals associated with the IRGC and shell companies operated by the IRGC as sponsors and supporters or terrorism. Or they have been involved in evading sanctions such as on the importation of technology that could be used for nuclear weapons.

Iran: 1500 Arrested in the Fire Festivities

Mohammad Sharafi, one of Iran’s Security Forces’ commanders declared that the suppressive forces arrested almost 1500 people during the Fire Festivities (State news agency of ISNA, March 15). Theses arrests indicate the authorities’ fearful reaction to Iranian youth who despite all the regime’s threatening warnings turned the Fire Festivities into a scene of their confrontation with the despotic regime as well as an opportunity for expressing their revulsion of the regime

The youth closed the road to the patrolling security forces in southern Tehran. In the Afsarieh region of Tehran, a suppressive security force who intended to persecute the youth was so severely punished by them that he had to be sent to hospital.

2100 من مقاتلي إيران لقوا حتفهم في سوريا والعراق

أعلن رئيس مؤسسة "الشهداء وقدامي المحاربين" في إيران اليوم الثلاثاء أن حصيلة الخسائر التي منيت بها القوات التابعة لإيران في العراق وسوريا بلغت أكثر من ألفي شخص.

ونقلت قناة "سكاى نيوز" الإخبارية عن رئيس المؤسسة محمد علي شهيدي محلاتي قوله إن "حوالى 2100 شخص قتلوا في العراق وأماكن أخرى"، دون تحديد الفترة التي قتل فيها هؤلاء المحاربون ولا جنسياتهم، مضيفا أن هؤلاء المقاتلين قتلوا دفاعا عما وصفه بـ"العتبات المقدسة" في سوريا والعراق.

وكانت إيران قد كشفت، في نوفمبر الماضي، عن مقتل ألف مقاتل تابع لها في سوريا وحدها، فيما قالت منظمة مجاهدي خلق الإيرانية المعارضة أن الحكومة الإيرانية تملك 14 معسكرا تدريبيا في إيران يخرج منها ألاف المقاتلين من إيران وخارجها ليتم إرسالهم لسوريا والعراق وغيرها من الدول التي ينشط بها التواجد الإيراني عسكريا مثل لبنان واليمن وحتى إن بعض كثير من المتطوعين في المليشيات الإيرانية يكونون من الهند أو أفغانستان وباكستان.

Iranian sniper embedded in Iraqi militia killed near Mosul

Long War Journal, March 2, 2017 - A casket carrying the body of an Iranian sniper killed in combat in Iraq on February 25 was received in Tehran three days ago. An Islamic State mortar killed Ali-Asqar Karimi near Mosul, according to a colleague. A military campaign by Iraqi forces to dislodge Islamic State is underway in Ninewah province, backed by Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite militias as well as US airpower.

Iranian media and officials have released few details about the 35-year-old’s military record, but Karimi was a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its Basij paramilitary.

Iran in Crisis

The recent dust storms that wreaked havoc in southwest Iran signaled only one of the many crises the mullahs are facing less than three months before critical elections

The dust storms crisis in Ahwaz, resulting from the mullahs’ own destructive desertification policies, caused severe disruptions in water and power services and people pouring into the streets in major protests.

This regime understands the language of force very carefully. And yet, there is no need to use military force to inflict a significant blow and make Tehran understand the international community means business. Blacklisting Iran’s IRGC as a terrorist organization by the U.S. at this timing would be the nail in the coffin for the mullahs.

Bahrain Uncovers a New 'Terrorist Cell', Captures 25 Members

Bahrain said on Saturday that it has uncovered what it called a terrorist cell and arrested 25 individuals so far with 16 others charged in absentia, Al Arabiya News Channel has reported.

The cell has been said to have carried out at least six operations inside the tiny island Gulf kingdom.

“The terrorist cell planned to assassinate security forces in Bahrain with coordination from Iran,” sources told Al Arabiya News Channel.

A source told Al Arabiya English that one of the members arrested confessed that they have been receiving instructions from a leader in Germany who has been organizing their travel in and out of the country from Iran and Iraq.

With $700 announced as the minimum monthly cost of living for an average worker household, media close to Rouhani’s faction reflected regime’s insolvency while pointing to more interaction with western countries as the only way out of the current crisis.

The newspaper then points to the nuclear deal, saying “it’s more than a year since the nuclear deal has been enacted, but its results are not clearly visible in the community. Some claim that despite sanctions being lifted, other countries are still refusing to collaborate with us.”

Massive Increase in Iran's Security and Defence Budget

NCRI - The spokesman of Rouhani’s government said earlier this week that for the next period, the budget for security and defence will go up by 128 percent over the course of five years.

Mohammad Bagher Nobakht added that Iran’s budget for security and military increased by 86 percent between 2013 and 2016.

In Parliament the week before this, Nobakht said: “In 2013, funding for defense and security was $4.9 billion and what the government offered in 2017 budget bill reached $11.2 billion that means the government increased the figure by 128%.”

The day before this, a Member of Parliament - Gholamreza Kateb, said that Iran’s defence budget has increased by 21% in 2017 when compared to the previous year. It has been reported that the military budget for 2016 was $9.7 billion.

احمد رمضان رئیس اداره مطبوعات ائتلاف ملی سوریه در گفتگو با تلویزیون العربیه الحدث7اسفند 95، سیاستهای جدید دولت آمریکا و انتظارات اپوزیسیون سوریه را توضیح داد. وی گفت: ما خواهان نامگذاری تروریستی سپاه پاسداران  رژیم ایران

ببینید در سال 2006 که انتخابات شد گفتند که سنی ها را هم در سیاست واداره امورعراق مشارکت میدهیم بدون اینکه به اعتقادات ومذهبشان کاری داشته باشیم اما در مرور زمان معلوم شد که بتدریج آنها برنامه ریزی وهماهنگی نمودند که اهل سنت را هدف قرار دهند.

برنامه پاکسازی حزب بحث یکی از این برنامه ها بود که تمامی افراد نظامی سیاسیون امامان مساجد وسیوخ عشایر را به اسم مبارزه با تروریزیم تصفیه کردند وحتی ترورنمودند.

اين مؤسسات همچنين به رژيم اجازه ميدهند كه كارهايي را كه مخفي هستند و نمي توان به شركت هاي ايراني غير قابل اعتماد و يا شركتهاي خارجي واگذار كرد از طريق اين مؤسسات پيش برد.

 موسسه حرا يكي از بارز ترين نمونه هاي آن است. اين شركت كه وابسته به قرارگاه خاتم است و از سوي سپاه اداره ميشود، در فعاليت هاي تونل سازي فعال است منجمله اكثر تونلهاي متعددي كه طي سالهاي اخير در ايران براي مخفي سازي سايتهاي هسته اي ساخته شده است از طريق اين شركت پيش برده شده است.

براي پيشبرد اين نوع فعاليتهاي حساس همواره يك سري فعاليتهاي آن مخفي و يك سري علني ميباشد.
